Water flow will be delayed this year for some irrigation district customers - NCWLIFE News

thekflow.blogspot.com

The Greater Wenatchee Irrigation District is upgrading some key equipment, and that means a short delay this year before water starts flowing to some users.

Irrigation customers in Howard Flats and Brays Landing should have water starting today, but users in the East Unit around East Wenatchee will have to wait until perhaps April 15.

District manager Craig Gyselinck says a $3 million project to replace the East Unit’s main pumps is still wrapping up. It’s replacing some equipment that’s now 60 years old.

The Irrigation District moved to full local control this year after the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation deeded the land and facilities to the district board.
