The Yamuna waters have receded from most areas in the Capital, but the barrage of allegations and counter-allegations show no signs of slowing down. What the Aam Aadmi Party alleges is that the BJP government in Haryana deliberately released water from the Hathnikund barrage towards Delhi with an aim to show the Delhi government in a bad light. The BJP, on the other hand, not only rejects the charge of deliberately releasing water, but also says that the Yamuna could have handled the flow, if only the AAP govt had got the river and various drains desilted.
