Authors, Accolades and Achievements

Amity Noltemeyer, professor and chair of educational psychology, and Kristy Brann, assistant professor of educational psychology, presented for the Forum for Children’s Well-Being at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on May 25. The virtual public workshop, “Back in School: Addressing the Well-Being of Students in the Wake of COVID-19,” focused on the effects of COVID-19 on the intersection of students’ learning and mental health. It explored the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on specific populations, including children of color, children with special health care needs and learning difficulties, and children living in poverty.

Helaine Alessio, professor and chair of kinesiology and health, published “Climate Change, Air Pollution, and Physical Inactivity: Is Active Transportation Part of the Solution?” in the Journal of American College of Sports Medicine.  

Mark Pontious, director of the Office of Parent and Family Programs, authors chapter in College Ready 2021, which was featured in MorningStar.com and Markets.Business Insider.com.

Scott Dust, the Dr. John F. Mee Professor in Management & Assistant Professor, was quoted throughout an article on Trello, a popular business software app, on Signs of A Toxic Work Culture - And How to Correct Them.
