A Marathon Filing Station with a Dunkin’ Donuts store may soon be coming to Mt. Pleasant.
The new Dunkin Donuts/Marathon Filling Station will be constructed on the southwest corner of E. Broomfield Road and S. Isabella Road.
“This project includes a full-service Dunkin Donuts with interior seating and a drive-through, a convenience store, and a new filling station with six fuel pumps for 12 fueling sites,” Union Township Community and Economic Development Director Rodney Nanney said. “As part of the project, the developer will install about 750 feet of new sidewalks along both road frontages.”
The project, owned by Grayling Investors LLC, has been a work in process since 2019. After some complications with the project, due to the COVID-19, it received final site plan approval at a Union Township Planning Commission meeting in February 2021.
Construction of the new Dunkin Donuts/Marathon Filling Station project began in fall 2021 and a building permit was issued earlier in the month of December 2021.
The project is expected to take somewhere between 9 to 15 months and will hopefully open by the end of next summer.
