First, my husband and I love the Chico Enterprise-Record. We treasure our newspapers (we get 3); we read the ER and appreciate every person who makes this newspaper and delivers it to our home. We wish every person subscribed to our newspaper to learn more about what is going on in our world. (By the way, we are not related to nor do we know anybody who works at the ER). The freedom of our nation depends on a free press. We will always support it.
Second, we love Enloe Medical Center. My husband was in ICU for three days. The doctors and staff there were wonderful. They saved his life. I was and am so impressed by all the Enloe staff did. I have never had such kind, understanding, competent, experienced medical staff from any hospital before our Enloe experience.
Third, we live in such a sweet town. People are very friendly. We moved here from Paradise, and we are deeply grateful for the kindness, the welcome, the sweetness of people here.
Fourth, we love downtown Chico. It is small shops owned by local people. We love that.
Fifth, we love how traffic flows downtown; the one-way streets that help the flow.
Sixth, we love wildlife and have rescued squirrels and other wildlife and we are grateful to the wildlife rescue people and the vets at VCA Valley Oak Vet Center.
