Valleyfair wants to hire about 1,000 seasonal workers for the upcoming season that starts in late May and will have in place protections in response to the coronavirus pandemic that kept visitors away in 2020, the state's largest amusement park announced Monday.
The sprawling entertainment venue in Shakopee said it is hosting a virtual hiring day on March 13. Candidates can register online at bit.ly/2YXOGJF.
Jobs are available in all park operating areas, including rides, merchandise, lifeguards, park services, food and beverage, and guest services.
Opening day is scheduled for May 22, when several pandemic-related adjustments are in store for visitors. They are subject to change and can be reviewed atvalleyfair.com/what-to-expect-when-we-reopen.
Valleyfair officials said that all levels of passes meant for 2020 will be honored in 2021. Unused 2020 park admission tickets are also valid through Sept. 6.
