GREENFIELD
Larry James May, 78, Greenfield, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Larry was born on April 20, 1942 in Morristown, IN, to W.S. and Katherine K. (Conner) May. He graduated from Morristown High School. Larry is a U.S. Army paratrooper veteran. He married his love Donna Jean Hogan on August 20, 1966.
Larry worked as a plumber and then as a service manager for Roby’s for 34 years. He enjoyed traveling, camping, and vacationing with his wife in their RV. He enjoyed grilling out and family cookouts. He also enjoyed airplanes, yardwork, boating, and fishing. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Mohawk.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Donna of 54 years; their children: Linda (Mark) Burnside, Lori (Robb) Gentry, Robin May, Rhonda Kendall (Ryan), Larrissa May (Mike), and Rachel May (Travis); siblings: W.S. “Rex” (Marlene) May, Gary (Cecile) May, and Elaine (Dennis) Cole; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters: Linda Lee May and Margaret Comstock.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN. There will also be an additional visitation on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 12noon to 1:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Stephen Elmer officiating. Burial will take place in Park Cemetery.
