Multnomah County Elections Mails Ballots to More than 565,000 Registered Voters for the May 18, 2021 Special District Election
The United States Postal Service has begun delivering ballots today, Wednesday, April 28 for the upcoming election. As a voter in Multnomah County, you can sign up for our Track Your Ballot service at multnomah.ballottrax.net to know when your ballot is on its way to you. If you do not receive your ballot by Thursday, May 6, take action and contact the county elections office at 503.988.VOTE (8683).
Multnomah County Voters’ Pamphlet is Available Online
The May 18, 2021 Special District Election includes contests for positions on your local school board, community college, education service district, rural fire district and water district. Depending on where you live, you may have one or more of these contests on your ballot. You will also have at least one ballot measure on your ballot. Learn more about the special districts in Multnomah County and common election definitions on our website. You can find out more information about the candidates and measures that will be on your ballot in the Multnomah County Voters’ Pamphlet mailed out to every residential household and available online as well.

Our popular Track Your Ballot service is now available in multiple languages! You can choose to receive ballot alerts and updates in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Chinese. Sign up today for Track Your Ballot and get a virtual “I Voted” sticker. Text, email, or voice alerts will tell you when the county elections office has mailed your ballot, and upon return when we have received your ballot. Alerts also indicate whether the ballot has been accepted for counting or whether it requires further action by the voter. Inside the “Accepted Ballot” message, voters will get access to a special Oregon “I Voted” sticker ready to share on social media. Multnomah County voters can sign up by visiting multnomah.ballottrax.net.
Two Choices to Return Your Ballot
As a voter, you have two choices in returning your ballot. Vote early and return your ballot by mail. No stamp needed! Get your ballot in the mail to us by Tuesday, May 11 (earlier if you are mailing from out of state) to ensure it is received by our office on time. Postmarks do not count in Oregon.
You can also return your ballot to an Official Ballot Drop Site. Return your ballot to any 24-hour Official Ballot Drop Site in the state or to any 24-hour Multnomah County Library Drop Site. All 30 Multnomah County Official Ballot Drop Sites are listed below and at multco.us/dropsites.
No matter how you choose to return your ballot, it must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Night, May 18, 2021.

Multnomah County has thirty Official Ballot Drop Sites available now until 8 p.m. on Election Day for you to return your ballot. Official Ballot Drop Sites include all Multnomah County Library locations. Ballots will be picked up from library locations and Official Ballot Drop Boxes on a regular schedule.
