HAMMOND, La. – The Southland Conference Tournament champion Southeastern Louisiana women's soccer team will make its return to the NCAA Tournament, the golf team will participate in the Southland Championships, the softball team closes out its home conference schedule and the track teams host an event in preparation for the upcoming league meet during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Lady Lion soccer team (8-2-4) will make its fourth NCAA College Cup appearance in program history and first since 2015. On Tuesday, SLU puts its 11-match unbeaten streak on the line in a 6 p.m. first round matchup versus No. 22 Rutgers in Buis Creek, North Carolina on the campus of Campbell University. The winner advances to face 14th-seeded Clemson on Friday at 6 p.m. in the second round.
The Southeastern men's golf team will compete in the Southland Conference Championships this week. The Lions will play 18 holes daily on Monday through Wednesday on the par-72, 7,346-yard course at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club in McKinney, Texas.
2021 will mark the ninth straight league tournament played at Stonebridge. SLU won the 2013 league championship – the fourth in program history - on the course and have finished in the top half of the league standings in six of eight trips to McKinney. Live scoring will be available at www.Southland.org and the team champion will advance to the NCAA Championships.
The SLU softball team (25-16, 13-5 Southland) hosts four games this week. On Tuesday, Southeastern welcomes Southern for a 6 p.m. nonconference contest at North Oak Park. The Lady Lions the close out their home Southland schedule with a three-game series versus Central Arkansas. The series opens with a 5 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and concludes with a noon contest on Saturday.
The Southeastern men's and women's track and field teams will host the Conference Tuneup on Saturday at the Southeastern Track and Field Complex. The meet gives the Lions and Lady Lions their final opportunity to sharpen their performance heading into the league championships, set for May 14-16 in Houston, Texas.

Saturday will be Softball Senior Day at North Oak Park. The senior class of Anna Rodenberg, Cameron Beal, Kelci Bodin and Shelby Sitzman will be honored following Saturday's 12 p.m. series finale.

This week's soccer matches will air on ESPN3, while this week's softball games will be televised on ESPN+.
