Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has announced a mammoth event in support of the NHS amid the coronavirus pandemic.
After calls to his brother Noel Gallagher to reunite Oasis for a special coronavirus benefit concert had fallen on seemingly deaf ears, Liam Gallagher decided to take matters into his own (perfectly washed) hands and has now announced a huge NHS show.
The singer announced that he will be headlining a charity concert for medical professionals in London who are particularly hard hit during the ongoing pandemic.
“It’s an honour to announce that I will be doing a gig for the NHS and careworkers at London’s TheO2 on October 29th. They do an incredible job, we are very lucky to have them. LG x,” he tweeted.
The tickets will be strictly for NHS staff with two tickets available to them to bring a guest. But only NHS staff and contract staff who work in NHS hospitals in the UK are eligible to apply for tickets. Sign-ups for the tickets will start on April 15 at 9 am
Many will still be waiting for that famed Oasis reunion but judging by this latest development it won’t be any time soon.
