Emmerdale star Michelle Hardwick, 44, is pregnant with her first child with wife Kate Brooks, 43, the soap's producer. The actress is due to give birth in October.
Michelle made her pregnancy announcement on her Instagram page this evening.
She shared a photo of herself and Kate beaming for the camera as her wife held onto their pet dog Fred.
In view of her 105,000 followers, she wrote: "Fred's big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks."
Many of Michelle's co-stars and fans flocked to her post to congratulate the pair.

The actress shared details about the pair’s wedding on This Morning last year.
She recalled the moment an unexpected guest turned up to their big day, which left hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in hysterics.
Michelle explained: “We turned up at the hotel in Memphis, trying to look for our room and a guy who works there, John the maintenance guy, said: 'Girls, how can I help you?'
“He showed us to our suite, and we said we're getting married on Tuesday. When he asked ‘Whereabouts?' we said, 'Graceland'."
The soap actress invited the man to their wedding as a friendly gesture, believing he was "never gonna turn up in a million years”.
But the newlyweds were left stunned when he arrived with his mother.
She went on to explain: “Kate and I got a lovely Cadillac took us to Graceland. When we got there, our wedding planner said, 'Oh girls, lovely to meet you, you look beautiful, two of your friends are here’.
"We thought, who? Is it people from work? But we later realised it was John and his mother.
“He sat there and sobbed all the way through the vows. His mother was talking all the way through… they rocked up in jeans, trainers and leggings.”
