Love Island: FIVE couples are put up for elimination as viewers spot growing tension between Jamie and Natalia and Luke M and Demi
Tensions rose in Monday night's episode of Love Island as only two couples escaped being put up for the public vote to be dumped from the villa.
Luke T received a text informing the islanders they would have to make the tough decision of voting for two couples who they thought were the least compatible.
Demi Jones and Luke M are at risk from getting the boot alongside Jamie Clayton and Natalia Zoppa after they received four and six votes, respectively, from their competitors.
Vote: Tensions rose in Monday night's episode of Love Island as five couples were put up for elimination by their islanders, with Jamie and Natalia deemed the least compatible
Mike Boateng and Priscilla Anyabu could also see their 'Love Island' journey come to an end prematurely after they received two votes from the group.
Meanwhile, Ched Uzor and Jess Gale and Molly Smith and Callum Jones got one vote each, meaning they too are up for the public vote.
When each couple cast their votes, only Siannise Fudge and Luke T and Paige Turley and Finn Tapp escaped being put up for the public vote, with every other couple getting nominated.
Viewers quickly took to social media to react to the nail-biting vote and many were divided over who they thought should go home.
Future: Demi Jones and Luke M are at risk from getting the boot after they received four votes from their fellow islanders
However, many felt they could see ever-growing tension between Luke M and Demi and Jamie and Natalia following Luke M and Natalia's very short-lived romance.
One viewer said: 'Natalia and Jamie seriously have it in for Luke M and Demi. Leave them alone,' while another added: 'The tension between Luke M+ Demi and Natalia + Jamie though, lol.' [sic]
Another fan chimed in with: 'Natalia knows her and Jamie are the least compatible in the villa so she's voting for Luke M and Demi repeatedly because she's jealous of how liked they is in the villa.'
Decision time: The group gathered where each couple cast two votes each for the other couples who they thought were the least compatible
Reaction: Viewers quickly took to social media to have their say, with many noticing tension between Jamie and Natalia and Luke M and Demi
During the voting process, Jamie and Natalia said they voted for Luke M and Demi because they did not seem as 'genuine' as the other couples int he villa.
Natalia said: 'These people had a chance to get to know each other before casa amor happened and there was nothing there. It doesn’t seem as genuine.'
They cast their second vote for Ched and Jess, saying they didn't feel they were as comfortable showing affection with each other as the others.
Lucky: Siannise and Luke T received no votes from their fellow islanders shortly after they made their romance official
Unscathed: Paige and Finn are also safe from elimination after receiving no votes
Up for the chop: Priscilla and Mike were not so lucky, receiving votes from Siannise and Luke T and Luke M and Demi
Couple: Molly and Callum are also up for elimination after they were deemed least compatible by Jess and Ched
Disappointed: Jess and Ched are also up for elimination after they were given a vote by Jamie and Natalia
Luke M and Demi returned the favour when they voted for Jamie and Natalia, saying they 'don't see that instant spark we saw with the rest of the couples'.
Some couples had different reasons for casting their votes with Molly and Callum claiming they voted for Luke M and Demi because they 'haven't had enough time' to get to know one another.
Mike and Priscilla, in casting their votes for Luke M and Demi, said they felt they didn't 'see a spark yet', with Paige and Finn giving the same reason for choosing Jamie and Natalia.
Kiss: Earlier in the episode, Jamie and Natalia shared their first kiss
Thrilled: Mike and Priscilla watched on and cheered as the couple locked lips
Earlier in the episode, Jamie and Natalia shared their first kiss, which, unbeknownst to them, was seen by Mike and Priscilla.
Jamie decided to make the first move, asking the beauty did she think they had reached 'first kiss stage' yet.
Nataia laughed and said: 'What are you trying to imply? You’re making this really awkward,' before they locked lips with Mike and Priscilla bursting into cheers.
Love Island continues on Tuesday on ITV2.
