Steven Spielberg has said he won't be directing Indiana Jones 5.
The famed filmmaker was at the helm of the first four movies in the franchise, which date back to Raiders Of The Lost Ark 39 years ago.
He will be passing on the role to a younger director, in a bid to "bring a new perspective" to the story, according to Variety.
The magazine also tipped Ford v Ferrari director James Mangold to replace him.
Spielberg is understood to be remaining as "a hands-on" producer.
Earlier this month, Harrison Ford confirmed the movie would be happening and would begin filming in the summer.
It will be Ford's fifth time playing the famed archaeologist following Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981), Temple Of Doom (1984), The Last Crusade (1989) and Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (2008).
In an interview with CBS' Sunday Morning show he touched on the nostalgia around the continuation of classic films.
"When we have an opportunity to make another, it is because people have enjoyed them," Ford said.
"I feel obliged to make sure our ambitions are as ambitious as they were when we started."
The last film in the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, was released in 2008 and was a worldwide box-office hit.
"Indy 5" was originally announced by Disney back in 2016, but has faced numerous delays in development.
Scriptwriter David Koepp, who worked on the last film, left the project in 2018.
Indiana Jones co-creator George Lucas has retired, and so is not expected to be involved in the fifth instalment.
Spielberg's current project, a movie version of West Side Story, is due to be released at the end of the year.
A release date for Indiana Jones 5 hasn't been announced, but a 2021 premiere seems likely.
