The Project’s executive director Richard Ayoub revealed how the couple selflessly volunteered to help those living with chronic illness in West Hollywood. He explained how Meghan and Harry took two days to deliver the meals to those at a higher risk of coronavirus.
And he added it was Meghan's mother Doria who gave them the idea to help out.
Mr Ayoub told People magazine: “They actually did two deliveries for us — one on Easter Sunday and one on Wednesday — and they’ve done it quietly.
“We’re completely honoured.”
“They were extremely down to earth and genuinely interested in every single person they met,” Ayoub continued
“They engaged with our chefs, they engaged with clients.
“They just wanted to make sure that people felt the love and appreciation.
“Their goal was really to just honour our chefs and staffs and volunteers by being of service.”

The executive director also added how Meghan was aware of Project Angel Food after she previously lived in Los Angeles, and felt compelled to help.
The non-profit organisation has 400 on their waiting list as the coronavirus has prompted a surge in demand.
He said: "She said she wanted to do something to give back on Easter and was talking to her mom [Doria Ragland] and her mom told her that Project Angel Food needs help and Meghan said, ‘Yes, brilliant.’”
“They really wanted to ease the workload of our drivers because they deliver to between 50 and 60 people a day.
“Meghan and Harry took about six deliveries last Sunday and then they said, ‘We want to do it again and we want more,’ so they took 14 deliveries on Wednesday.
Just before they went to deliver the meals, Meghan and Harry were given a tour of the Project Angel Food facility.
“I gave them a tour of the facility,”
“They asked a lot of questions about the clients, about how the food is done and how much food is made.
“ We talked about how the meals are medically-tailored and geared towards each client, they met with our chefs and then we gave them all our social distancing protocols for the deliveries and they wore gloves and makes and they kept six feet away.”
It comes as Prince Harry shared a peek inside what appeared to be his new LA home as he video called carers back in the UK who are looking after seriously ill children.
The video chat, which is believed to have taken place last weekend, showed the prince speaking with families supported by children’s charity WellChild which has has been patron of since 2007.
