In a recent interview with Radio Times, Ms Goodall, 85, touched on her friendship with the former Sussex couple whom she says had previously invited her to their Frogmore Cottage residence. The Dr told the magazine that Harry may well be struggling to adapt to his new California lifestyle, as he is unsure of his “career will map out.”
Dr Goodall is a primatologist who is well known for her research on chimpanzees.
She suggested in the interview that there is a certain level of influence that Meghan holds over Harry.
When the publication indicated to the Dr that Harry and William are champions of the natural world, she interjected: “Yes except they hunt and shoot.
Harry was previously condemned for an image that showed him next to a body of a water buffalo he shot dead on a hunting trip in 2004.
Back in 2014 both Harry and William went to Spain on a deer and wild boar hunting trip, just the Duke of Cambridge launched an appeal to stop illegal hunting of wildlife.
It has also been claimed that Prince Harry did not participate in the traditional Boxing Day royal family hunt two years ago as he did not want to “upset” Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex had never previously missed the hunt, which he has taken part in since he was 12 years old.

Meghan Markle is a passionate animal rights advocate, who has been vocal about her love for her two rescue dogs Guy and Bogart.
She has often in the past shared photos of her dogs on the personal Instagram account she maintained before marrying into the royal family.
Hunting with dogs in the UK was banned in 2004, however, thousands of animals die every year through organised hunts in the country.
The primatologist also indicated that Prince Harry had known for a while he would be stepping away from the monarchy.
She recalled a previous conversation between herself and the Duke last year at a Roots and Shoots education programme at Windsor Castle.
Dr Goodall said: “‘I made Archie do the Queen’s wave, saying, “I suppose he’ll have to learn this.”
‘Harry said: “No, he’s not growing up like that”.’
The conservationist was speaking as part of the promotion for her latest documentary, The Hope, on National Geographic.
It comes as Piers Morgan appeared to make a jibe at the former Sussex couple on Good Morning Britain yesterday.
He said: “I’ve got to hand it to the Royal Family, the ones who stayed in the country…
“I’ve got to hand it to them and say they’ve done a great job of what they should be doing, which is just being comforters and consolers for the nation, stable and calm.”
