THIS Morning presenter Holly Willoughby has broken her silence and insisted her friendship with co-host Phillip Schofield isn’t “faked.”
It comes after former Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner, 48, tore into the pair branding them “fake”.
The acid-tongued ex-judge said he expected the co-hosts to get in touch after he left the series last year because he had worked with them since 2005.
But Jason revealed: “Since it was announced I was leaving the show I’ve had nothing from Phil and Holly. Not even a text message.
“It is hurtful, especially because when Phillip was getting a lot of negative attention recently I sent him a message of support.
“I thought they would get in touch but I’ve learned this industry is full of fake and disingenuous people.”
Telly star Holly, 38, said: “There’s nothing to defend.
“We ring each other and talk to each other all the time anyway, about this and other things.
“We know what we’re like. It would be impossible for us to fake the giggles.
"I’m on the telly for two and a half hours - let me tell you, I’m not that good an actress. If I was, I’d be doing something else.”
The duo have co-hosted the ITV daytime show for 14 years.
