Prince Harry is ‘finding life challenging in LA’ after leaving Royal Family - Express

Since Harry stepped down as a senior royal last month, he has kept in touch with the 86-year-old primatologist. Previously, the famous activist has been invited to the former Sussex couple’s Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

Dr Goodall believes she may have been one of the first people to have held Archie outside the immediate family.

She is currently self-isolating in her Bournemouth home but took time to speak about Harry’s current situation.

She told Radio Times: “I don’t know how his career is going to map out, but, yes, I’ve been in touch, though I think he’s finding life a bit challenging right now.”

Ms Goodall, who is renowned for her chimpanzee studies, suggested the level of influence Meghan has over Harry.

When it was indicated that Harry and William are champions of the natural world, she interjected: “Yes except they hunt and shoot.

“But I think Harry will stop because Meghan doesn’t like hunting, so I suspect that is over for him.”

Harry was previously condemned for an image that showed him next to a body of a water buffalo he shot dead on a hunting trip in 2004.

Dr Goodall said: “‘I made Archie do the Queen’s wave, saying, “I suppose he’ll have to learn this.”

‘Harry said: “No, he’s not growing up like that”.’

The conservationist was speaking as part of promotion for her latest documentary, The Hope, on National Geographic.

In the footage it contains her mimicking an intimate ape greeting with Prince Harry.

Previously Harry has interviewed Dr Goodall for British Vogue magazine that Meghan guest-edited last September.

The Duke spoke on how he only wanted “two children maximum” and how the environmental impact was “terrifying”.

It comes as royal expert Camilla Tominey told the New Yorker that Buckingham Palace turned against Harry’s wife Meghan after her “celebrity” attitude appeared.

Meghan also didn’t have a comprehension of “unwritten traditions” such as the hierarchy of staff.

Ms Tominey added: “therefore, for Harry and Meghan to be making demands, there was a bit of below-stairs chatter, particularly with the Duchess, that was 'Well, hang on a minute, who do you think you are?'"
