I’m reading the Friday, May 22, Longmont Times-Call, and I really don’t understand this. You can open the golf courses, but you can’t let the American Legion or other service organizations take part in putting wreaths on graves. … I think that’s ridiculous, totally ridiculous. And opening some things and not others, that’s also ridiculous. Either open it all or don’t open anything.
I read with interest the TC Line call connecting the dots between mail-in ballots and Colorado leaning left. That explains what happened to me. I used to be a Limbaugh-loving bedrock right-winger until Colorado went to mail-in ballots. Suddenly I began to vote for Democrats and I did not know why. It has to be the mail-in ballot.
With all the hype and gleeful anticipation of closing down the postal facility in Commerce City, I would certainly like to know, what are the COVID rates for the state Capitol, the city and county buildings? How many deaths have occurred there? What about other places like Longmont city hall? Inquiring minds want to know.
Concerning 9/11. Fifteen of the 19 terrorists that went into the 9/11 towers were from Saudi Arabia. And right now Trump and Mike Pompeo are or selling weapons to the Saudis. So it has nothing to do with an open Mexican border.
Dr. Birx said they are being liberal in the accounting of COVID numbers. So they’re counting all possibilities, confirmed or not. What kind of science is this? … We deserve literal numbers. The American people have the right to the truth.
Here is the reason why Colorado elections have been leaning left since 2013. The left is right, and the right is wrong.
Editors, where are you finding these incredible phone call messages? It’s embarrassing to live in Longmont with all of these inaccurate comments and all of these people who are rather, shall we say, paranoid.
OK, Times-Call, how sad is it that you did not print and acknowledge all of our local 2020 High School graduates? With all of the unfortunate issues happening in our country, you decide these worthy kids don’t deserve to be acknowledged. So sad.
Editor’s note: Our annual salute to local graduates is scheduled to publish in July, in advance of the rescheduled graduation ceremonies.
I don’t know how long any of your memories are, but I remember that Memorial Day was always celebrated on May 30. It was always the 30th, regardless of whether it was Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The politicians changed it around so that they could have a three-day weekend. You remember that? Now we celebrate it on … the last Monday of May.
A caller complained that Colorado’s elections have slanted left since we began voting by mail in 2013. I see two reasons why that could’ve happened. Number one, people’s political views have changed. Or number two, Republicans just don’t know how to use a mailbox.
I’m wondering if anybody out there has a Bozo the Clown mask. Considering that Boulder County is extending their draconian mandates, I thought I would wear a Bozo the Clown mask in honor of the Bozos that are running the county.
