Popcorn fundraiser to benefit Animal Protectors

Popped Envy Popcorn is sponsoring a fundraiser to benefit Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley in New Kensington.

To place an order, visit www.poppedenvy.com and place an order using the check out code ANIMAL. Your order will be mailed directly to you. There is a $5 flat rate delivery fee.

Popped Envy Popcorn, located in Sarver, will donate 25 percent of the cost of each order to Animal Protectors. All products are wheat, egg, peanut and tree-nut free.

Order deadline is June 5.

Vandergrift Veterans of Foreign Wars collecting for needy veterans

Vandergrift Veterans of Foreign Wars is accepting donations of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene productions and grocery store gift cards for project Pa. Serves.

Donations can be dropped into the bin between the entry way doors. The outer door is unlocked.

Veterans in need can sign up for the program by calling 1-855-838-7744.

Snow cone fundraiser to benefit food bank

Trinity United Methodist Church and Dr. Dawn Spale and Allegheny Health and Physical Medicine, both in Brackenridge, will sponsor a snow cone fundraiser from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday to benefit the Allegheny Valley Association of Churches Food Bank.

There will be a drive-through snow cone truck located in the upper parking lot of the church, 847 10^th St. Those who donate nonperishable or canned food for the food bank will receive a free snow cone. The snow cone company will also give a cash donation to the food bank from purchases made. Monetary donations for the food bank will also be accepted.

The cost of the free snow cones will be paid by Dr. Spale and Allegheny Health and Physical Medicine.
