Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield try deep fried chocolates - Daily Mail

'It's like a Bushtucker Trial!' Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are horrified as they taste deep fried CHOCOLATES on This Morning

They've been known to try all manner of unsual dishes.

But Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were particularly unimpressed by one festive-themed dish during Tuesday's This Morning, as they tucked into a plate of deep-fried Quality Street.

The presenting duo compared the ordeal to 'a Bushtucker Trial' as they tucked into the dish, which was being offered by a fish and chip shop in London.

Update your wardrobe with Holly's skirt by Cefinn

Holly Willoughby has already made us splash the cash on her impeccable wardrobe this week, and today’s look also has us reaching for the credits cards.

The presenter kept a demure look that still exhibited her usual lady-like aesthetic in a black midi skirt and red knitted jumper, both by Cefinn. Stylist Angie Smith has worked her magic once again!

The 'Cleo' skirt instantly caught our attention as it’s designed with a slit front that’s trimmed with crimson piping. Holly's pencil skirt is great for this time of year as you can pair it with boots, or you can style yours with heels for the office.

At the start of the show, Holly and Phil told viewers that they were going to try the deep-fried dish, which was being offered throughout the month of December by the fish shop in Soho.

The pair were offered the batter-coated version of the top three Quality Street, which was topped by the iconic Toffee Finger.

They were also offered fried versions of their favourite chocolates along with the Scottish classic: the deep-fried Mars Bar.

Despite their best efforts, Holly and Phil couldn't hide their disgust for the dish, with Holly saying: 'It's like a Bushtucker Trial.'

Once again Holly and Phil were back on presenting duties as they fronted This Morning on Tuesday, which also saw them announce that the show will be extended by half an hour in 2020.

Holly couldn't contain her excitement at the news, gushing that she could 'sing and dance' to her heart's content.

In a huge shake-up to the ITV schedule, starting on Monday 6th January, This Morning will air from 10am to 12:30pm.

Ahead of that Lorraine will now air from 9am to 10am, with Good Morning Britain also extending to three hours from 6am to 9am.

The schedule change comes after The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed earlier this year, and had temporarily been replaced by Judge Rinder.

This Morning will continue to air weekdays from 10:30am until the end of 2019.

Not nice: During the show Holly and Phil also made the exciting announcement that in 2020, the show would be extended by half an hour
