The Pussycat Dolls sent fans into total meltdown when they confirmed their reunion – after almost a decade apart.
Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta announced they are officially back together, and will be heading out on tour next April.
However, Melody Thornton – who left the band back in 2010 – is not joining the Buttons singers on the road, and has kept quiet over their comeback.
But why isn’t Melody returning to the Pussycat Dolls fold?
Group founder Robin Antin confirmed she will not be part of the reunion, telling The Sun that ‘at this time, it wasn’t right’ for the 35-year-old.
Shaking off any suggestion of a feud, Nicole and co. insisted the door ‘was and is always open’.
The official Pussycat Dolls Instagram page also follows Melody, showing there are no hard feelings towards her – however she is yet to repay the favour.

The Dancing On Ice star has not addressed the reunion on her own social media profile, choosing instead to share a video of herself belting out a song on Today Extra.
As you do.
Melody’s snub may not be too much of a surprise, as she previously confessed a reunion would be a ‘nightmare’.
‘I’m not the same at 34 as I was when I was 24,’ she told the Sun on Sunday. ‘So the idea of getting together again sounds like a nightmare.’
The Pussycat Dolls started out all the way back in 2003, and soared straight to the top of the charts with a string of hits, including Don’t Cha, Buttons and Beep, before splitting seven
years later.
And the singer recently opened up about her time in PCD, and why it left her needing therapy.
‘[It was] the industry in general. I wouldn’t blame it on any one thing. I was thrust into the spotlight,’ she explained on Today Extra.
‘I was introduced via this really huge vehicle, the Pussycat Dolls. No one knew it was going to be as successful as it was.
‘Just no anonymity. You kind of lose track of yourself a little bit. Yeah, I spent time with a therapist and it’s been really good.’
Melody also said being part of the group ‘affected her confidence’ as she claimed Nicole recorded all the songs, leaving her bandmates as dancers.

‘They said we’re going to have Nicole do all of the recording, you’re going to have to learn and dance with the rest of these girls,’ she told Lorraine earlier this year.
‘For me, it really affected my confidence because I wasn’t using my best asset, and people were getting to know me for something that I didn’t do.
‘And I was the weakest dancer, so it was challenging.’
Melody left PCD in 2010, and released her debut solo single, Sweet Vendetta, a year later – before taking part in Popstar To Operastar.
She returned to screens in 2017, appearing on Celebs Go Dating in a bid to look for love, and took on Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls that same year.
And she showed off her skating skills at the beginning of 2019, competing in Dancing On Ice alongside Gemma Collins and Saara Alto, reaching the quarter-final of the competition.
