Royal feud: How Harry showed ‘exasperation for William’ with eye-opening jibe - Express.co.uk

Harry appeared to acknowledge his relationship with his brother has been unsteady of late in his revealing documentary, ‘Harry and Meghan: An African Journey’. He said the two of them had “good days” and “bad days”, and that they struggle to find time to see each other anymore. Over the last year, the siblings appear to have drifted significantly. Harry used to live in Kensington Palace estate with William and his wife Kate Middleton, and their three children, but moved out with Meghan Markle just before the birth of their firstborn in May.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also announced they would be setting up their own charitable platform, splitting from the Royal Foundation. Both Harry and Meghan had been patrons of the trust before along with Kate and William.

This split shocked many royal fans, especially as the two couples had been dubbed the ‘Fab Four’ when they were seen working together before.

In her 2018 book, ‘Harry: Conversations with the Prince’, Angela Levin revealed how she “wasn’t surprised” the two brothers would no longer be working together after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved out of Kensington.

“There were additional murmurings that William and Harry were preparing to go their different ways and create two distinct royal courts. I wasn’t surprised. Harry told me before he got engaged that after the two-years Head Together project on mental health issues that he, Kate and William had been involved, they wouldn’t work collectively again.”

Heads Together was the initiative spearheaded by Kate, William and Harry, as all their different charitable organisations seemed to have one theme, which was mental health.

It was a huge success and the organisation was even the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year.

She added: “I think that’s so exciting to think with so many more of us working together on the same cause or similar causes, we could make a real impact.”

The biographer concluded: “In any event most siblings recalibrate their family relationships when they marry and forge their own future. It doesn’t mean that Harry, who told me “It is my job to support my brother” has changed his mind.”

Ms Levin also explained his move away from Kensington Palace – “Harry has long been keen to get away from the goldfish bowl of royal life and, significantly, Meghan likes Windsor.”

Some also believe that the Queen wanted the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to be closer to her in Buckingham Palace so she could keep an eye on them.

They officially moved their royal household from Kensington Palace to Buckingham this summer too.

The couple announced this week they will not be spending Christmas at Sandringham with the Queen, although it is not yet know where they will go instead exactly.

The spokesperson said: “Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, their royal highnesses will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the duchess’ mother Doria Ragland.”

The two of them are reportedly “looking forward to extend family time” and are believed to be going to spend a few weeks in the US for Thanksgiving.
