Billie Eilish Defends Drake's Texts To Her Saying People Are 'So Sensitive' - LADbible

Billie Eilish has hit back at the haters who have criticised Drake - 15 years her senior - for texting her, saying that everybody is simply 'so sensitive' and that there are many other people they should be worrying about.

Eilish, who turned 18 in December, revealed last autumn that she and 33-year-old star Drake had been texting, a revelation that ruffled a fair few feathers.

In a new interview with US Vogue, she revealed that it's a situation that still irritates her.

"The internet is such a stupid-ass mess right now," Eilish, who recently announced she'd be doing the new James Bond song, said.

"Everybody's so sensitive. A grown man can't be a fan of an artist?

"There are so many people that the internet should be more worried about. Like, you're really going to say that Drake is creepy because he's a fan of mine, and then you're going to go vote for Trump? What the f*** is that s***?"

The interview with Vogue also marks her very first cover spot for the title, continuing her strong start to 2020 - having just won big at the Grammys at the end of January.

At the awards do, she ended up taking home a total of five awards, including the four big'uns, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best New Artist, for her chart-topping debut albumWhen We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and single 'Bad Guy' - in turn becoming the first person to achieve the feat since Christopher Cross in 1981.

Oh, and she also replaced Taylor Swift as the youngest artist to win a Grammy for Album of the Year.

Having rounded off the evening by also scooping the Best Pop Vocal gong, it's not like it was a bad day at the office.

Accepting her award for Song of the Year with her brother Finneas O'Connell, who produced and co-wrote her album, Eilish said: "This is my first Grammys. I never thought this would ever happen in my whole life. I grew up watching them. And this is my brother Finneas, and he's my best friend.

"I feel like I joke around a lot, and I never take anything seriously at these kinds of things, but I genuinely want to say I'm so grateful. And I only want to say that I'm grateful, and I'm so honoured to be here amongst all of you."

Eilish appeared to be overwhelmed by the extent of her domination of the awards; at one point fans even reckon the singer-songwriter mouthed to herself 'Please don't be me, please', when the nominations for Album of the Year were called out.

She went on to win that one, but when she accepted the accolade had turned to fellow nominee Ariana Grande and said: "Can I just say that I think Ariana deserves this?"

Grande, meanwhile, simply waved off the comments, ceding the prize back to the deserving winner.
