Meghan Markle and Prince Harry issued a 1,114-page statement on Friday night outlining the new system they will be adopting from April after their royal career comes to an end. After a week of speculation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed they will not be using the Sussex Royal brand while insisting neither the Queen nor the rest of the family has exclusive use of the term "royal." Despite renouncing the brand, Nigel Farage suggested Meghan and Harry used their statement to take a swipe at the Royal Family, suggesting the couple may still cause "trouble ahead".
Speaking on his Sunday LBC show, Mr Farage said: "All of this has led to a 1,114-word statement issued by the Sussexes about the current situation, and in it, they say, ‘while there is no jurisdiction for the monarchy or Cabinet office for the use of the term royal overseas, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use Sussex Royal or any iteration of the world royal in any territory.’
"What they’re really saying here is ‘the Queen doesn’t own the term royal and you really can’t actually tell us and force us what to do but we’ll go along with this because we’re actually rather great people.’
"And they go on in other parts of this statement to winge and moan that other members of the family can use their titles and earn outside income – that particularly referring to princesses Beatrice and Eugenie."
Mr Farage continued: "And it really, it really is a letter that suggests there may be trouble ahead and this wasn’t a happy parting, the Queen has absolutely put her foot down and said ‘you can’t have your cake and eat it'."

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, regularly appear at family events like Trooping the Colour but have no obligation to the family as they do not formally represent the Crown.
Princess Beatrice has been working for software company Afiniti while Princess Eugenie is the director of art gallery Hauser&Wirth. Both sisters are also patrons to several non-profits.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were granted permission to keep their HRH titles but have agreed not to use the styles in an official capacity.
In their statement, however, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared to suggest there is a precedent for members of the Royal Family using their titles while not working to represent Her Majesty.

Royal insider Richard Fizwilliams claimed Meghan and Harry are “very, very unhappy with the Queen’s decision”.
Mr Fitzwilliams told Australia’s Sunrise programme that their reactionary statement to the Queen was “an unnecessary potshot at the Queen”.
The royal expert said: “They wanted to make a point with this - but did they need to?
“They feel they are being victimised by being put on 12-month probation."
Mr Fitzwilliams added: “They wanted to remain part-time working royals. They wanted to be able to use their titles.
“The Queen stepped in with this decision because she had to. Harry should have shown more humility.”
