Reports say Her Majesty “just wants Megxit over and done with” as she tries desperately to move on from the Sussexes resignation from senior royal life. The row between the Queen and her grandson erupted last week after she banned the couple from using the term ‘royal’ in any of their future commercial ventures. Harry and Meghan had hoped to build their brand around their placing within the Royal Family and the name Sussex.
But the fallout has been stark, with claims that Harry and Meghan were furious at Her Majesty for halting their use of the name.
And speaking to Vanity Fair, a royal insider claims the Queen has delivered a devastating plea that the row comes to an end.
The source said: "She generally doesn't want to talk about it.
“The Queen has been keen to get this resolved because she sees it is damaging to the monarchy and on a personal level, I think this has been rather hurtful for her.
“She has got to the point where she doesn't want to think about it anymore, she just wants it over and done with.”
This latest intervention comes after Harry and Meghan released a statement regarding the Queen’s decision.
On their new website the couple had a “dig” at the Queen.
The statement said: “While there isn’t any jurisdiction by The Monarchy or Cabinet Office over the use of the word ‘Royal’ overseas, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex do not intend to use ‘Sussex Royal’ or any iteration of the word ‘Royal’ in any territory (either within the UK or otherwise) when the transition occurs in Spring 2020.”

They added: “We’re witnessing a quite extraordinary turn of events.
“The British people will not stand for two multi-millionaires demanding taxpayer funds after abandoning the country they should be serving.
“The latest series of comments published on the Sussexes’ website comes across as extremely petulant and has caused a great deal of alarm inside the palace.
“This is further evidence of Harry and Meghan further ostracising themselves from the family rather than building bridges.”
