Simon Cowell appears to offer Little Mix an olive branch as he brands them 'professionals' amid ongoing row over their upcoming rival band talent shows
Simon Cowell appeared to try and make amends with Little Mix amid their ongoing feud during Saturday's episode of Celebrity: X Factor.
The music mogul, 60, dubbed the girl group as 'professionals' during the live show as he drew comparisons between them and current X Factor contestants V5.
This comes after he revealed he is looking forward to a 'battle' as both he and Little Mix are set to launch rival shows in the search for the next big pop group.
Olive branch? Simon Cowell appeared to try and make amends with Little Mix amid their ongoing feud during Saturday's episode of Celebrity: X Factor
While commenting on V5's performance Simon said: 'I've had the privilege of working with Fifth Harmony and working with Little Mix...
'And now working with you, and what all of you share is this absolute determination and professionalism and everything comes from you.'
He added: 'I that think the UK who didn't know you beforehand have put you through is such an amazing positive signal.'

Simon recently said he had the idea for X Factor: The Band, (this is a working title - in which he will put a boyband together), before Little Mix offered him a role of co-producer on their BBC prime time show The Search.
But he claims he had to turn it down because of a conflict of interest and when they found out about his show, they brought theirs forward.
He told The Sun: 'This is what really happened. I was approached to co-produce that show last year by Little Mix’s management.
'I'm excited about this battle': Simon recently said he had the idea for X Factor: The Band, (this is a working title - in which he will put a boyband together), before Little Mix offered him a role of co-producer on their BBC prime time show The Search
'I told them the problem was we have a conflict of interest because we are launching X Factor The Band in 2020. We were told their show was going to launch in 2021.
'Then we had the fallout and find out Little Mix were bringing their show forward. Was that intentional because we are doing our show? I have no idea.'
Little Mix was formed in 2011 when Simon hand picked Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock to be members of a new girl band.
They were represented by Simon's record label Syco, releasing four albums, until a fall out with the group's managers Modest! last year.
Bold move: Little Mix recently confirmed reports that they are to launch a Saturday night TV show which will rival Simon's X Factor
Simon has reportedly axed next month's X Factor All Stars, which was expected to feature former winners including Leona Lewis and Alexandra Burke.
Instead, he is bringing forward his group themed show to compete with Little Mix, saying, 'It 100 per cent makes it more exciting there being a battle.'
A source told MailOnline: 'Simon has hit the pause button on All Stars and will be bringing forward The X Factor - The Band. It’s not been axed as such but Simon has made the decision to move things around.'
Exciting times: The BBC One show, named Little Mix The Search, will see talented singers become members of all-female, all-male or mixed bands and then compete
Louis Walsh and Paula Abdul, who were set to judge All Stars, have also reportedly been scrapped ahead of the launch of X Factor The Band.
Auditions for ITV's latest venture will begin soon at Sony Music in London, with the live finals set to be held at Birmingham Arena in December.
It's rival, Little Mix The Search, will see talented singers become members of all-female, all-male or mixed bands and then compete.
Fierce rival: The winning group will then join the mega-selling girl band on their summer tour in 2020, setting the show apart from Simon's show, which does not offer a similar perk

Little Mix's members will become mentors to competitors.
And singers who make it into new bands will live together and get access to the group's inner circle, including voice coaches, writers, producers and stylists.
The group told BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw last month they are looking for the 'next big band'.
They said competitors can enter as a duo, a three or a four-piece, while people can be added to and removed from groups as the show progresses.
Perrie said: 'People can be taken out as well. It's pretty brutal.'

Speaking of the enticing prize of joining the girl band on the 2020 tour, Grimshaw said: 'That's a mega prize because you guys are really good at being in a group, like the best.'
Jade then outlined how she and her band mates would mentor competitors.
'We want to create incredible groups who really gel because we've been there and done that and we're still doing it now.
'I feel like we really know what it takes and we will be there to help them properly along the way.
Jesy added: 'It's exciting as well because there's going to be so many different types of groups. We want boy groups, girl groups, mixed groups.'
Applications to appear on the show have already opened and potential participants can upload audition tapes to the BBC website.
Little Mix said in a statement: 'We want to create lots of incredible groups who really gel.
'As we have been there and done it ourselves, we know what it takes to make a group successful, and will be there to mentor them every step of the way.
'We want solo artists to audition as well as groups and every type of genre is welcome too. It's going to be really exciting and people can apply right now!'

Charlotte Moore, the director of BBC Content, said: 'One of Britain's most popular all-female bands Little Mix will bring their magic to BBC One on Saturday nights in 2020 in a brand new show set to inspire the next generation of young artists.'
Andrea Hamilton, Executive Producer ModestTV said: 'It's a real privilege to be building a new show around such a successful and loved British band.
'Creating bands means relationships matter and there's no one better to share that experience than Little Mix, who are living it right now.'
It comes after reports of the new show first emerged last week.
The girl band, who shot to fame after winning the eighth series of the X-Factor, reportedly dealt a 'massive blow' to Simon with the planned launch.
An insider told The Sun: 'This show is huge for Little Mix but it will be a massive blow for Simon.
'The X Factor's viewing figures have fallen for years but this could be the nail in the coffin.
'Saturday night needs a new singing competition to freshen it up and, with Little Mix involved, this could well be it.'
