Strictly Come Dancing's Saffron Barker has responded to fan criticism of her weekend routine.
The YouTuber and her dance partner AJ Pritchard were questioned by some viewers after they noticed the pair were the only couple not sporting poppies, in aid of the Royal British Legion, during their routine for the November 2 live show.
Replying to a fan who questioned the move on Twitter, Saffron explained that the reason the two didn't have poppies on is because their routine featured a lift.
Mystery solved.
One viewer tweeted: "Someone’s going to have to help me... have the BBC allowed Saffron and AJ to get away with NOT WEARING POPPIES??!! - Not that I’m offended it’s just very out of character for the BBC."
Saffron then replied: "We weren’t allowed to when we were dancing [cause of] our lift."

Sunday night's show (November 3) saw Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her partner Aljaž Škorjanec voted out of the competition.
It also saw Strictly Come Dancing air its first ever same-sex dance routine, which dancer Johannes Radebe dubbed 'liberating'.
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues on Saturday (November 9) at 6.50pm on BBC One.
