As the release of Wonder Woman 1984 grows ever closer, Warner Bros has unveiled two new glimpses at Diana Prince's eye-catching Golden Eagle armour.
For Entertainment Weekly's March issue, Gal Gadot's hero acts as cover star and showcases the wingspan of the shiny suit with a colourful side-profile shot.
In another image shared by the publication, the Israeli star faces the camera head-on, posing as if she's ready to fight with clenched fists and a focused expression.
Lifted straight from the pages of DC Comics, the outfit – albeit an infrequently seen one – was adopted by the Amazonian in a handful of challenging confrontations, from her ones with cosmic supervillain Imperiex and living weapon Devastation, to thwarting an apocalypse in the four-issue 'Elseworlds' series.
Talking about the costume, Oscar-winning designer Lindy Hemming explained: "In the light, it's always liquid... moving. There's a feeling of non-flatness... because in the comics, she does fight her mightiest battles in the golden suit."
In Patty Jenkins' big screen follow-up, Diana finds herself coming up against two baddies: business tycoon Maxwell Lord (played by Game of Thrones' Pedro Pascal) and shy gemologist Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig), aka Cheetah.

Fortunately, she has back-up in the form of Chris Pine's Steve Trevor, who's set to make a mysterious comeback despite sacrificing himself in the World War I-set original film.
"In the first movie, I played the world-weary soldier who has seen all the depravity that humankind is capable of displaying," he noted. "And in this one, I get to be much more wide-eyed and joyful.
"My role is really just as a friend, lover, boyfriend-cum-bodyguard who's trying his best to help Diana on her mission. I’m like the Watson to her Holmes.”
Wonder Woman 1984 has a release date of June 5, 2020.
