Serena Williams has revealed how Meghan Markle travelled to New York in September with her then four-month-old son Archie Harrison - to watch her play in the US open.
Meghan, 38, made her first solo trip across the pond with her son, to cheer on Serena, 37, as she took on Canadian star Bianca Andreescu in the final this September.
Serena, who has been close to Meghan since they met at a Super Bowl party in 2010, hailed the Duchess of Sussex as 'the strongest person I know'.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, Serena explained: 'She flew all the way with a newborn to see me play in New York and flew all the way back that night, and I probably couldn't have done that.'

At the time, it was widely assumed that Meghan had left baby Archie at home with Prince Harry.
But now the tennis star has revealed how Meghan actually travelled with the then four-month-old Archie for the whirlwind trip.
Opening up about her group of female friends, Serena said: 'I think it's really cool to have a group of friends who are doing amazing things and face the same pressures you face with being in the public eye.'
Speaking of the pressure Meghan faces being in the royal family, Serena said she couldn't imagine the level of scrutiny her friend has to deal with.
Serena also revealed that Meghan travelled to New York with her then four-month-old son Archie Harrison to watch her play in the US Open final
She explained: 'I'm not sure that many people can relate on that level, I don't think I can.
'I just think she's the strongest person I know, the nicest, sweetest...'
Talking about how she flew over to see her Serena explained: 'It really does show you what an amazing person she is and that's just one of the many things she does for me.'
Meghan's visit to New York in September was thought to have been a solo trip at the time, but Serena has now revealed the mother-of-one travelled with her then four-month-old son
In September it was claimed by 'a royal insider' that Meghan was incredibly eager to ensure her visit to the US was kept as 'low-key' and discreet as possible - following a furious public backlash in the wake of her $500,000 New York baby shower earlier this year.
'After all the big fanfare of her trip for her two-day baby shower, where paparazzi followed her every move and staked out The Mark Hotel to catch Meghan, her famous friends and the array of gifts arriving, it seems Meghan has learned her lesson,' the insider told Page Six.
'She was in New York to support Serena, and catch up with a few other old friends, but was determined to keep everything very low-key and as under-the- radar as possible.'
It was noted that Meghan had also taken steps to ensure that her accommodation and choice of transport could not be criticized; in place of a suite at the swanky Mark Hotel, where she stayed in February, the royal was believed to have resided in a private residence during her trip.
The royal travelled to New York for the brief trip to show her support for Serena Williams, who was playing against Canadian Bianca Andreescu at the US Tennis Open final
And having come under fire, alongside her husband Prince Harry, for taking four private jet trips in less than two weeks, Meghan chose to travel to New York on a commercial flight.
Serena added that the Duchess of Sussex was 'always' there for her, saying: 'I call her, text her anytime, crying, she's always there.
'It doesn't matter what shes going through, she sets time aside and that's amazing.'
The tennis star has long been close to Meghan, having met at a Super Bowl party in 2010.

The women's friendship quickly evolved through frequent phone calls and texts.
After becoming Prince Harry's girlfriend and then a Duchess, Markle leaned on Serena for mentoring on how to handle the paparazzi and the international media.
The mother-of-one welcomed her daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. with husband and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian in 2017.
