LEWIS Burton today insisted photographs of red-stained sheets did NOT show his blood after horrific pictures allegedly showing girlfriend Caroline Flack's bedroom emerged.
The Sun revealed shocking photographs overnight showing a bed splattered with red after Flack, 40, was accused of hitting 27-year-old Lewis Burton on the head with a lamp at her flat in Islington, North London.
In the picture, which was shared on a social media platform, bedsheets covering the telly star’s double mattress can be seen soaked in blood.
But Lewis rejected claims the photographs showed his blood, writing: "B******t this isn't my blood and I didn't get hit over the head with a lamp.
"Can everyone stop now."
He then added: "'I love this girl more than anything no one knows what's going on or what's happened.
"She's f***ing harmless and the most amazing person I have ever met."
Police were called to the property in the early hours of December 12 after a “breathless” 999 call from Lewis, 27, a court was told last month.
A source said last night: “The photo is absolutely shocking. It’s awful. What an earth went on in that bedroom? It looks like a bloodbath.
“The police were absolutely right when they said it looks like a horror movie.’’
Flack flipped after reading texts which she interpreted as Lewis cheating on her, magistrates heard.
She is alleged to have lashed out at Lewis as he slept, leaving him with a head wound, and also injuring herself.
BEDROOM BLOODBATH
Blood stains are also seen on the bed frame, cream carpet and a green rug.
A pink toothbrush and piles of clothes are seen strewn across the floor. A piece of cat-themed artwork from Bake Off star Noel Fielding is leaning against a wall next to the bed.
Caroline revealed on Instagram in 2016 that she had bought his £5,000 work Bubblegum Cats at the Cinema.
Another picture taken of Flack’s front door after the alleged bust-up also showed red drops believed to be blood.
Flack, who had put her £1.1million flat up for sale before the alleged incident, has denied assault.
Highbury Corner magistrates court was told how Lewis dialled 999 and begged for help, saying “she tried to kill me”.
His face was covered in blood after she allegedly inflicted a “significant” head injury. Flack was also cut from smashed glass, the court heard on December 23.
A trial is due to begin on March 4 where police bodycam footage and a recording of the 999 call will be included in the evidence.
The fallout has forced Flack to step down from her £1.2million-a-year Love Island job. She was spotted at Heathrow on Saturday before flying off for a break to LA.
She is said to still be in a relationship with model and tennis coach Lewis, who was in South London on Monday. The couple were devastated after a judge banned Flack from contacting him.
