According to the Mail, Meghan told her friends that the Duke leaving the monarchy was “the best thing that could ever happen” to him. “She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed and she simply couldn't bear to see him suffer anymore.” The revelation comes after rumours that there had been disagreements between senior royals over the future of the Sussexes’ role within the royal family. This was highlighted by Prince Harry in his latest speech at an event for charity Sentebale on Sunday evening.
He began his speech by saying: “So, I want you to hear the truth from me, as much as I can share – not as a Prince, or a Duke, but as Harry.”
Mr Dampier a royal author, accused Prince Harry of making sure he gets his last word against the Queen, by “trying to make people like him and get down on the same level as his charity."
The expert added: “He’s also distancing himself from the Palace in an act of defiance and trying to carve out a separate identity."
There is a section of the Duke’s speech where he declared his love for the UK in spite of the fact he has emigrated to Canada.
“The UK is my home and a place that I love. That will never change."
However, Mr. Dampier has said this is hypocritical of Prince Harry who has previously made comments that opposed this statement
"He says the UK is his home and a place that he loves.
"But in previous interviews, Harry has said he doesn’t like this country and wanted to leave.

"Finally, the second son of Diana got hitched, hurray!"
There was no mention in the speech of Prince Charles, as rumours have swirled that Prince Harry and his father are largely still at odds.
It comes as Prince Charles has been alleged to have said that there are not “unlimited resources” to fund the Sussexes' lavish lifestyle.
The Duke said the move to step back had come after "months of talks after so many years of challenges.”
"I know I haven't always gotten it right, but as far as this goes, there really was no other option,”
According to MailOnline, Meghan told friends of the prince’s decision to be independent “that out of anyone he will flourish the most and that it was her love for him that made this possible,”
Meghan has reportedly told close friends that the $14 million mansion the family has been staying at on Vancouver Island is “her happy place”.
She says: “that in the last couple of months, she’s felt more at home than she ever did in the U.K.”
One friend told Mail last week that Meghan was miserable in Britain, not sleeping well and started having anxiety attacks.
