Ricky Gervais insists he will NEVER host Golden Globes again as he returns home saying ‘thank f*** it’s ove - The Sun

RICKY Gervais saluted fans as he returned home to London with his girlfriend today after leaving America's biggest stars in shock at the Golden Globes.

The 58-year-old comedian said Sunday night's appearance would be his last as host, answering calls on Twitter for him to do more by insisting: "Never gonna happen 😂."

He earlier told followers: "I had a blast but thank f**k it's over."

The comedian touched down at London's Heathrow airport with long-time partner Jane Fallon, where he gave photographers a salute after getting in a lift.

Wearing shades, a cap and a hoodie, he was pictured leaving Terminal 5 with a smartly-dressed man who wheeled their bags behind him.

The comedian hot-footed it back to the UK after the awards to edit the second series of Netflix hit After Life, calling it his "real job".

Ricky left woke Hollywood stars in shock on Sunday night as he attacked Hollywood's hypocrites in a brutal opening monologue at the Golden Globes.

As many had been expecting, the British funnyman didn’t pull any punches with his jokes and even suggested the performers in the audience would work for Isis if it set up a streaming service.

He also made gags about the paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Leo DiCaprio's love life and Felicity Huffman's prison sentence for her part in a college admissions scandal.

During a seven-minute monologue, the host mocked Leo’s fondness for dating women in their early twenties, leading to a gag about Prince Andrew's sex allegations.

Ricky's funniest gags

"The world got to see James Corden as a fat p****. He was also in the movie Cats, but nobody saw that."

"You're in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg."

"Apple roared into the TV game with The Morning Show, a drama about the importance of dignity and doing the right thing - made by a company that runs sweatshops in China."

"[After Life] is a show about a man who wants to kill himself because his wife died of cancer and it's still more fun than this. Spoiler alert, season two is on the way so he didn't kill himself... just like Jeffrey Epstein. I know he's your friend, I don't care."

"[Birdbox is] a movie where people survive by acting like they don't see a thing. Sort of like working for Harvey Weinstein."

"It was a big year for paedophile movies. Surviving R Kelly, Leaving Neverland, Two Popes."

Ricky said: "Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is nearly three hours long. Leonardo DiCaprio attended the premiere and by the end his date was too old for him."

And he followed the gag by saying: "Even Prince Andrew is like: 'Come on Leo mate, you're nearly 50, son'."

He later took aim at a fellow Brit, saying: "The world got to see James Corden as a fat p****. He was also in the movie Cats, but nobody saw that."
