Meghan Trainer has joined Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and Olly Murs on The Voice UK as they battle it out to each form a team of talented singers. The All About The Bass star joined the show following Jennifer Hudson’s announcement she would be stepping down due to filming commitments. However, Meghan has revealed she’s been disappointed by one surprising aspect of the ITV show since joining.
While listening to the singers perform in the blind auditions, each coach has the opportunity to turn around and progress the singer into the next round.
Viewers often pick up on the coaches having slightly different sounds that they are listening out for.
Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, Meghan was asked what she’s looking for in a performance.
“I was listening out for something different,” she began. “I want to find singers that can not only win but I can write songs with.”
The Grammy award winner was asked whether any of the hopeful singers performed her songs.
“No is that crazy? I am upset,” she confessed.
“I thought they would sing the John Legend song I’m Going To Lose You, not one of them did but it’s ok.”
“I sang it actually,” she explained. “They threw the microphone at me, you’ll see I perform that at one point.”
“Can’t focus on the singing as too distracted by will and Olly’s hair #TheVoiceUK,” one remarked.
Another tweeted: “Gary Barlow called and wants his hair back Olly #TheVoiceUK.”
A third shared: “Olly, what happened to your hair babe #TheVoiceUK.”
“Did the coaches on The Voice all decide on blonde hair for the series? #TheVoiceUK,” a fourth added.
The Voice UK continues Saturday on ITV at 8.30pm.
