Caroline Flack makes posthumous appearance in Steve Coogan film - Digital Spy

Late TV presenter Caroline Flack has made her final onscreen appearance in Michael Winterbottom's film Greed.

Caroline tragically took her own life last weekend, a week before the satirical feature-film was due for release (February 21), in which she now posthumously appears alongside Steve Coogan and Isla Fisher.

The 40-year-old played a character who hands over a cheque to Steve's Sir Richard McCreadie, announcing: "Now time for the man you've all been waiting for... the king of the high street."

Steve spoke about Caroline while appearing on BBC Breakfast yesterday (February 21), saying the news was "tragic" and that his "heart goes out to her loved ones and her family".

He continued: "There are lots of issues that are raised by it. I am sure you have talked about that – to do with social media, to do with the press, to do with the discourse that takes place specifically on social media, and also to do with the way the press behave.

"I certainly think that, really, the problem with social media is that people don't see the whites of the eyes of the person they are talking to, so they behave in quite a reprehensible way.

"You can wax lyrical about it all but I just think people need to step back and question how they behave, question how they talk to each other", he added.

"We can disagree with each other but we don't have to be disagreeable."

Greed, which premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, takes aim at the ridiculousness of wealth and centres around Steve's billionaire fashion mogul, who's celebrating his 60th birthday on the island of Mykonos.

Many celebrities have spoken out about Caroline's tragic death, including TV and radio presenter Maya Jama.

She wrote on Twitter: "So so devastating. Can't believe I'm writing RIP Caroline Flack, she was an amazing woman and always someone I looked up to in our line of work. She gave me advice on how to handle trolls & papers writing bull***t multiple times and I can't even imagine how she would have felt."

Greed is available to watch in cinemas now.
