So it appears Piers Morgan is not vibing Vanessa Hudgens’ thoughts on coronavirus, after she was slammed about her ‘insensitive’ comments on the ‘inevitable’ deaths.
The High School Musical star did an Instagram Live earlier this week in which she spoke about the spreading Covid-19 virus, which has taken thousands of lives around the world.
When asked about quarantine while doing a makeup tutorial on Monday, she replied: ‘Um, yeah, ’til July sounds like a bunch of bulls**t.
‘I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time I’m like, even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible but like, inevitable?’
The next day Vanessa apologised, saying her comments were ‘taken out of context’, but that it was a massive learning curve for her, and was supported by Chrissy Teigen, who implored the masses not to cancel her because of her comments.

However, Piers, who has also had beef with Chrissy in the past, isn’t following that guidance as he slammed Vanessa’s quotes as a ‘staggeringly tone-deaf response’.
‘What kind of mentality… makes people so brainless when we’re in the grip of the greatest potential threat to our existence since World War 2?’ he wrote in his latest column for MailOnline.
In this, he referenced the millennials who are being ‘perfectly stoic and sensible’ amid the chaos of the Covid-19 spread, while also mentioning those that are ‘behaving like complete and utter cretins’.
Instead he praised Ariana Grande – a pop star he’d previously feuded with before burying the hatchet over wine – citing her as a ‘true hero’ we all needed.
This week the popstar slammed her fans who weren’t practicing social-distancing and who continued to go out to packed clubs despite the warnings.
‘I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people statements like “this isn’t a big deal”/”we’ll be fine”… “we still have to go about our lives” and it’s really blowing my mind,’ she wrote on social media earlier this week. ‘I understand if that is how u felt weeks ago. But please read about what’s going on. Please don’t turn a blind eye… The “we will be fine because we’re young” mindset is putting people who aren’t young and/or healthy in a lot of danger. You sound stupid and privileged and you need to care more about others. Like now.’

According to Piers, Ari is one to follow ‘for grasping the severity of this situation’ and using her massive online platform to inform the masses of ‘what the right response should be’ in such times of uncertainty.
He added: ‘We need a lot more Arianas on hugely influential social media right now and a lot fewer Vanessas.’
