Paul Chuckle has confirmed to fans that he is recovering from coronavirus after suffering from mild symptoms.
The 72-year-old took to Twitter on Monday evening where he broke the news to his followers.
However, despite the scare he reassured everyone that he is ‘on the mend’ in a short video.
‘Hi guys, just checking in to let you know I’m still around. I have been laid up with Covid-19 for a few days, just mild but it was there and it’s not nice, I promise you,’ he said.
‘So please, please stay inside. We’re all going stir crazy, we know that, but please stay inside.’
The much-loved star continued: ‘Take the pressure off the NHS, Marie Curie, et cetera. Please, please stay in guys, and enjoy as best you can.’
Celebrities and fans alike rushed to his side with well wishes, including the likes of Paddy McGuinness, who wrote: ‘Stay well pal. Good to see you.’

Someone else said: ‘Glad you’re on the mend. Thank you for sending out the Stay At Home message. Stay safe and enjoy Chucklevision on YouTube. Best tonic going for days indoors.’
Another was quick to quip: ‘Hope you dont pass anything on To Me cause I wouldn’t pass on it To You.’
Paul joins the likes of Idris Elba and his wife Sabrina who have also been battling Covid-19, along with Tom Hanks who was one of the first celebrities to be diagnosed with the disease.
Prince Charles has been fighting the illness too, and has made a speedy recovery seeing him step out of self-isolation.
His spokesman said that his quarantine lasted seven days, in accordance with government guidelines.
A statement said: ‘Clarence House has confirmed today that, having consulted with his doctor, The Prince of Wales is now out of self-isolation’.
