Earlier this year, the royal couple announced they were stepping back as senior members of the Royal Family and were going to split their time between the UK and Canada.

In light of the coronavirus outbreak, the couple moved to Canada and before the pandemic began hitting the headlines, there was a dispute on whether the Duke and Duchess should pay for their own security intel if they were to also reside in Los Angeles.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the President of the United States stated the country would not be willing to pay and no uncertain terms told Meghan and Prince Harry they would have to fund themselves.

With discussion of the matter on the show today, Piers, who hasn’t held back about his opinion on the pair before, said he was more interested in what Royals were doing here in Britain instead.

After Ross gave the details of the story via a video link from Los Angeles, the irate host told him: “You lost me at Meghan and Harry.

“I’m so done with them right now. I don’t want to hear a peep out of them until this is over,” he added, referring to the current coronavirus outbreak sweeping the globe.

“I don’t care about their lives in Hollywood. I don’t care [about any of it].

“I care about what the Royal Family here, who are actually in this country doing their duty and helping us here.”

For this reason, the reports also stipulated the Duke and Duchess rented out their property in Vancouver before making the move.

In view of his 75.5million followers yesterday, the President stated his position on Meghan and Prince Harry moving to Los Angeles.

He wrote: “I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada.”

“Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!”

There has been no confirmed word given on whether the royal pair have made the move to California, however, a spokesperson explained Meghan and Harry would not rely on the US government to pay for their security detail.

After stating they were stepping back from royal duties, the Duke and Duchess also said they wanted to become “finically independent.”

Tomorrow marks the date the couple intended to officially step-back as senior members of the Royal Family.
