The preview for Friday night's episode showed him back at the villa, complaining: "She just f***ing walked off."

Connor and Sophie were earlier shown having an argument, where he told her: "It did annoy me because I felt you were rubbing it in my face."

She replied: "I don't really know what else you want me to say."

Love Island fans are increasingly unconvinced by their relationship, with one insisting: "Sophie and Connor aren't compatible.

"Either she'll get on with the Justin Bieber Luke or Casa Amor is where she'll find someone."

Connor was branded "controlling" earlier in the series when he lost his temper with Sophie after she "celebrated" the arrival of two new boys.

Fans were furious about his reaction, calling him a "control freak" and pointing out they had only been dating for a matter of days.

Another said it was a "warning sign" for trouble ahead, particularly after he muttered "you hate me tonight" when she made a joke of his claim to have had a threesome on a first date.

Until the clip aired on Thursday night's Love Island, Connor and Sophie had looked like they were getting along well.

He was seen leaning over and kissing her as they snuggled under the duvet in one of the show's famous 'nightvision' shots.
