ITV has re-edited the most recent episode of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway following complaints about a historical flag that accompanied Anne-Marie's performance.
The 'Ciao Adios' singer appeared on the programme on Saturday (February 29) and took part in the End of the Show Show, which saw her perform a sketch that included the show's hosts wearing headbands with the Japanese 'Rising Sun' flag.
Associated with the Imperial Japanese military and used by Japan during World War II, use of the flag on Takeaway sparked an inevitable backlash, prompting Anne-Marie to issue a Twitter apology.
ITV is also taking viewer concerns seriously, as it has since announced it will re-edit the footage for the ITV Hub and future TV broadcasts.

"We apologise for any offence caused during the End of the Show Show by the costumes worn," ITV said in a statement.
"This was clearly unintended and we have taken steps to re-edit that part of the episode for the Hub and for repeat broadcasts."
The backlash follows previous complaints about another End of the Show Show performance, which featured the recently reunited Pussycat Dolls.

A total of 68 Ofcom complaints were made following the girl group's performance on the evening show.
So here's hoping next week's End of the Show Show will be less eventful.
