The Chase's Paul Sinha 'likely' to have COVID-19 as he admits 'social-distancing too late' - Express

The Chase star Paul Sinha broke the news on social media that he thinks he's contracted coronavirus. The Sinnerman, as he's know on the show, took to Twitter to admit to his fans he had made a grave error.

"Although I cant be sure and I can't be tested, it seems likely I have coronavirus," he said.

"Started social distancing a few days too late. Anyone upsets me; I'll be around to sneeze in your home."

Fans raced to the chasers comments section to wish him a speedy recovery.

One said: "Stay safe dude. When I get onto The Chase you’re the one I want to go up against!"

"Get well soon bud. Thinking of you," another wrote.

A third commented: "Stay strong Paul and keep safe. Sending you love and our prayers are with you."

"All the best for a speedy recovery. Take care," a fourth sent their wishes.

A fifth knew all to well what he was going through: "I’m just recovering from suspected CV too. I hope you’re soon out the other side, sending love and strength and get those paracetamols down you as often as you can remember."

Others laughed at his joke: "Wishing you all the best Paul. In times like these we definitely need people like you to make us laugh.

Paul joins a growing list of celebs who have come down with the viral illness (or symptoms off the illness) that's sweeping its way around the UK faster than expected.

Idris Elba and Tom Hanks were two of the first celebrities to come forward about their latest health diagnosis, and are now in quarantine while they recover.

Mr Johnson's pleas comes after the sunny weekend brought people out in hundreds, as they visited seaside towns and parks across the country, making the most of the nice weather.

But Number 10 warned of the risks people who aren't listening to strict advice, can impose on others.

"Don't think fresh air in itself automatically provides some immunity," Mr Johnson said, adding that even if people think they are invulnerable, "there are plenty of people you could infect".

"Take this advice seriously, follow it, because it's absolutely crucial."

"My message is you've got to do this in line with the advice, you've got to follow the social distancing rule - keep 2m apart."

He added: "I don't think you need to use your imagination very much to see where we might have to go, and we will think about this very, very actively in the next 24 hours.

"It's so important that that pleasure and that ability is preserved but it can only really be preserved if everybody acts responsibly and conforms with those principles of staying apart from one another and social distancing.

"If we can't do that then, yup, I'm afraid we're going to have to bring forward tougher measures."
