Debbie Reynolds had the family Christmas dinner table set as daughter Carrie Fisher suffered stroke, friend reveals
The late Debbie Reynolds was preparing a Christmas feast for the family as her daughter Carrie Fisher suffered a fatal stroke while flying home from London on December 23, 2016.
'When Carrie was flying in on the plane, Debbie had already made sure the table was set. The menu, everything,' Hollywood Secrets and Scandals author Sue Cameron told People on Friday.
'But there was no Christmas dinner. The table just sat there...Debbie kept a Christmas tree up 24 hours a day, all year. Debbie just loved Christmas.'

The Star Wars actress - who died age 60 on December 27, 2016 from sleep apnea - also had a permanent Christmas tree as part of her own home's eccentric décor.
In fact, the showbiz mother-daughter duo loved the merry holiday so much two small decorated trees remain perched atop their crypt at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills.
Heartbroken Reynolds died, age 84, from a stroke the day after Carrie's death.
'I have my mother's Christmas tree up year-round in my house in Las Vegas. Carrie's tree is still up year-round in her house,' Debbie's son Todd Fisher told Page Six last week.

'A lot of people asked me when they died, "How do you deal with it?" Part of it is the faith that we all shared, my mother, my sister and I - the idea that we shall meet again, and they're not far from you. They're just in a different space or a different dimension.'
To mark the third anniversary of the acting twosome's tragic passing, Carrie's daughter Billie Lourd posted her cover of John Prine's 1971 song Angel From Montgomery with The Moon Brothers.
'You will lose someone you can't live without and your heart will be badly broken, and the bad news is that you never completely get over the loss of your beloved,' the grieving 27-year-old quoted novelist Anne Lamott.
