Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's Billie Lourd has marked the third anniversary of her mum Carrie Fisher's death with a touching post on Instagram.
The iconic Princess Leia Organa star passed away from a heart attack on December 27, 2016 and Billie – who plays Lieutenant Connix in the sequel trilogy – offered support to those who are grieving during the festive season.

Next to an old family photo posted on Christmas Day, the 27-year-old wrote: "Happy holidays! (But also sad/emotional/weird/stressful holidays!) Sending my love to everyone who has lost someone they loved and is missing them a little extra today. I see you.
"It's okay if everything ain't all merry and bright. It can be a mix of all of it. And it's all okay. Feel all the feelings - the good and the not so good. Eat something delish they used to love. Put on one of their favorite songs. Tell a story about them. Cry about them. Call one of their friends you haven't talked to in a while.
"Be kind and patient with yourself," she continued. "Don't grieve in silence. You're not alone."
The sweet photo also included Billie's grandmother Debbie Reynolds, who sadly passed away just 24 hours after Carrie three years ago.
Gone but never forgotten.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is out now.
