I'm A Celebrity has 'lost more than five MILLION viewers since the start of the series' - Daily Mail

I'm A Celebrity has 'lost more than five MILLION viewers since the start of the series as there are too many unknowns and a lack of sexy shower scenes'

This year's series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has reportedly lost more than five million viewers since the start of the show.

The Ant and Dec fronted show saw 10.63 million viewers tune in for its premiere last month - however, Saturday's show only managed to pull in a measly 5.46 million, it has been claimed by The Sun

Despite some big names such as Caitlyn Jenner and Ian Wright, the fall in viewership is said to be credited to a 'mostly dull line-up of unknowns' as well as a 'lack of sexy shower scenes.'

A source told the publication: 'Seemingly, some viewers haven’t stuck about after seeing who was taking part.'

'With every big star there must be lesser-known people - and some viewers think there are just too many unknowns.'

While there has been some off-screen drama involving Myles Stephenson supposedly telling Jacqueline Jossa that her husband Dan Osborne cheated on her with his ex Gabby Allen, it is alleged that 'viewers look to be turning off in quite large numbers at the moment.'

It has also been claimed by the publication, that unlike Myleene Klass and Vicky Pattison's sexy shower scenes in past series, there is nothing of the sort this year - which is further driving fans of the show to switch off.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for I'm A Celebrity for further comment.

This comes after Cliff Parisi has become the third star to be axed from the jungle as campmates enter the final week of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Speaking to Ant & Dec in his exit interview, the Call The Midwife actor admitted he felt isolated at the start of the process, and that he found it hard.

'I just thought, loads of people are fighting for the limelight, so why not just sit back and watch and enjoy it,' he said. 'I would advise anyone who is asked to do this to do it.'

Asked why he wanted to take part, Cliff, 59, quipped: 'The taxman!'

Cliff also revealed he broke the rules and sneaked salt and pepper into the camp in his pants.

'We never saw that!' Ant declared, impressed.

Asked whether he enjoyed going into the Jungle Jail at the start, he admitted: 'I think it was better. We got introduced to it gradually rather than being parachuted in and being overwhelmed.

'I think that's the best way to do it!'

He also admitted that he 'felt about as welcome as a fart in a space suit' when he arrived, because the campmates had thought there were treats being sent into the camp - when he and Andy Whyment turned up instead.

Cliff admitted he is 'a Londoner and so scared of dogs', but that doing the show means you have to face everything.

'I'd love to see Kate win, and Roman, what a fabulous young man. And Andy,' Cliff said, when asked who he'd like to win the show.

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues on Tuesday at 9PM on ITV.
