Britain's Got Talent has confirmed that the live shows will be delayed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ITV show is due to return for its latest series this spring, although there has been uncertainty on what would happen past the pre-recorded audition stage of the competition.
Following the UK government's latest measures announced on Monday night (March 23) – requiring everyone to remain at home other than for limited purposes including shopping for basic necessities and any medical need – it's been confirmed that the live shows will happen later in the year.

"The Britain's Got Talent audition shows will broadcast on ITV in the next few weeks," an ITV spokesperson said.
"We have been working with the brilliant production teams at Thames and Syco to find a way of making the live finals work, which were due to be broadcast at the end of May.
"However, in light of the latest government health guidelines and in line with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes, production of the live shows cannot go ahead as planned.
"The live finals will therefore be broadcast later in the year."

The news follows The Voice UK's decision to postpone the semi-finals and final over the coronavirus crisis.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and announce a new date for these shows, which were due on air on March 28 and April 4, in due course," ITV said last week.
Britain's Got Talent returns to ITV later this year.
