Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty has pleaded not guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California.
Petty, 41, appeared in court Wednesday after he was indicted for failure to register as a sex offender in California, according to TMZ.
Petty turned himself into U.S. Marshals following the indictment, and was subsequently arrested.
Initially, prosecutors wanted to place Petty under house arrest, but his attorney objected and now he will be required to wear an ankle monitor in addition to adhering to a curfew.

A lawyer for Petty says he will be posting a $100,000 bond later today.
Petty, who will be under pre-trial supervision, has had to surrender his passport and restrict his travel to Southern California.
He isn't allowed to use drugs, including marijuana from legal dispensaries in Los Angeles.
His next hearing is scheduled for March 23.
Petty, who moved to California over the summer, was initially arrested in November during a traffic stop in Beverly Hills after police determined he was a registered sex offender in the state of New York but not in California.
He was subsequently arrested, released on a $20,000 bond, and charged for failing to register as a sex offender.

It appears as though he still had not registered, and has been indicted in federal court for failing to register.
Petty faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if he is convicted on the federal charge of failing to register, according to TMZ.
Petty is a 'registered Level 2 sex offender,' as listed by the New York State's Sex Offender Registry.
Petty's offense was an 'attempted first degree rape' that took place in 1994 'when both he and the victim were 16,' according to USA Today.
He ended up serving 'just under four years in prison' and was a free man by January of 1999.
