Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Anton Du Beke to cause huge upset with final results? - Express

The competition comes to an end this weekend and viewers are patiently waiting to see who will win the Glitterball trophy, but it seems fan favourite, pro-dancer Anton Du Beke. and partner Emma Barton could be in the running to beat last-minute contestant and Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher. But Anton hasn’t won despite appearing in 17 series, so can he beat the odds and finally win or will he be watching someone else lift that Glitterball trophy once again?

This weekend will see Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, TV presenter Karim Zeroual and EastEnders star Emma Barton all compete to win Strictly Come Dancing 2019 after weeks of blood, sweat and tears.

After 12 weeks of performing for the public and the judges, the three will each perform three dances, but the odds on who will win are changing and it could be Anton’s year.

Anton has managed to keep Emma out of the dance-off throughout the series thanks to the public's votes, but the tide is changing and the pair are growing more popular by the day.

In a shocking twist, leading bookmaker Coral has cut the odds on Emma winning that illustrious glitterball trophy.

Last week, there was controversy as viewers said goodbye to comedian Chris Ramsey and his partner Karen Hauer, after they were in the bottom two with Karim and his partner Amy Dowden.

Viewers were left furious, questioning how Karim was in the dance-off but not EastEnders star Emma.

One viewer took to Twitter and said: “Ok public, what are you doing? How the hell can you vote Emma above Karim on #StrictlyComeDancing2019 #Strictlyresults?”

“Who is even voting for Emma? Especially over Karim?! #Strictlyresults,” a second questioned.

Will it be a deserved win if Emma and Anton manage to beat the odds and sail towards the title of Strictly Come Dancing Winners 2019?

If this is the case, how will viewers react if Karim and Kelvin are left only to congratulate after weeks of hard work?

Last night's episode of It Takes Two saw past winners voice their opinions on this year's finalists.

Caroline Flack, who won the show in 2014, put her backing behind Kelvin and Oti to win saying they are “fantastic”.

Chris Hollins also told the audience how he thinks Kelvin has the advantage, being brought in late explaining the similarities after he was brought in and went on to win in 2009.

But, Jill Halfpenny who won in 2004, commented that Anton and Emma could win because they are a crowd favourite and said that she thinks they’ll surprise us.

Emma and Anton will perform the Charleston to Thoroughly Modern Millie as chosen by the judges and will also be performing a Showdance to Let Yourself Go by Irving Berlin.

Can he finally do it and lift that Glitterball trophy after 17 series of trying?

The Strictly Come Dancing final will air on BBC on Saturday at 7.05pm.
