Weinstein, known for producing Oscar winning movies such as Shakespeare In Love, is currently banged up in New York’s notorious Rikers Island prison while he awaits sentencing.

His lawyer filed legal documents yesterday asking the judge for leniency citing the sex pest’s charity work and clean criminal history before his recent conviction.

The doc also mentioned Ronan Farrow’s New Yorker article which lifted the lid on Weinstein’s predatory behavior.

NO REMORSE

It reads: “Since the New Yorker article was published in 2017, Mr. Weinstein's life has been destroyed.

“His wife divorced him, he was fired from The Weinstein Company, and in short, he lost everything."

It continues: "...his fall from grace [as] historic, perhaps unmatched in the age of social media."

The lawyer pleads with the judge to take into consideration that Weinstein had no criminal history before he was accused by dozens of women of sexual misconduct.

BEGGING FOR MERCY

They also detailed Weinstein’s alleged relationship with his victims after the sex attacks.

The letter read: “Both [victims] continued consensual relationships with Mr. Weinstein after the alleged assaults and contacted him for jobs, tickets, and professional advice."

Weinstein’s charity work was also mentioned in a bid to sway the judge including raising millions for 9/1 firefighters and cops.

He also helped raise $2.5 billion for charity Robin Hood which fights poverty in New York City.

The lawyer continued: “…the trial did not fairly portray who he is as a person. His life story, his accomplishments, and struggles are simply remarkable and should not be disregarded in total because of a jury's verdict."

Meanwhile, prosecutors have urged the judge to give Weinstein a long sentence which will act as a deterrent and reflect his lack of remorse.
