X Factor: Celebrity star Jeremy Edwards has a bone to pick with Simon Cowell over the judging process on the revamped show.
The all-star edition of X Factor completely flips the format by having a Judges' Houses-type round during the auditions, with Simon enlisting former American Idol pal Randy Jackson and current America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel as his advisors.
Howie apparently didn't hit it off with former Hollyoaks and Holby City star Jeremy Edwards, who has formed a vocal duo with Strictly's Brendan Cole. Chatting to Digital Spy and other press, Edwards revealed that Howie really gave him a verbal smackdown.
"This is just me, and I can't speak for everyone, but [others are] more used to it than I am," he admitted.
"They edited down quite a lot of what [guest judge Howie Mandel] said and I am going to be completely honest with you, I didn't think a lot of it was necessary. That's all.
"I don't mind criticism. Okay, certain things didn't work, but certain things did! There's a lot of positives there. A) he talks for ages and B) it was negative, negative, negative… At one point, I wanted to say, 'Dude, you're not even a judge. Can you just shut up?'
"It really only matters what [Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh] say!" he added.
