'Family is everything': Rebekah Vardy wishes daughter Sofia a happy 5th birthday on Instagram as she mimics nemesis Coleen Rooney's post one day prior amid major feud
- Coleen took to Twitter on Sunday to reveal she was at home in Manchester with her youngest son Cass after falling ill and shared a picture of him on Monday
- The WAG, 33, revealed she was unable to join her husband and three elder sons as they enjoyed their annual Barbados holiday
- The tweet marked the first social media post since she accused fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy of 'selling stories' on her on October 9
Coleen Rooney shared a picture of her son Cass on Monday as she revealed she hadn't joined her family on their Barbados holiday as she is unwell.
And Rebekah Vardy, 37, mimicked her post by sharing a picture of her own child on Tuesday amid the WAGS' major feud.
Both ladies are clearly trying to put the focus on their families after footballer Vinnie Jones said their husbands should be ashamed of their behaviour.
'Family is everything': Rebekah Vardy wished daughter Sofia a happy 5th birthday on Instagram on Tuesday as she mimicked Coleen Rooney's post one days prior amid feud
Intimate moments: Vardy shared a series of pictures Sofia including this sweet one from when she was born
Rebekah's post was to wish her daughter Sofia, five, a happy birthday and she shared a series of shots from her birth onwards, to mark the day.
Ignoring her ongoing war with Coleen, 33, she captioned the image with the words: 'Happy 5th Birthday to our Little Princess. We love you so much #familyiseverything.'
Rebekah and Jamie are also parents to son Finley, two, and she is mum to Megan, 11 and Taylor, nine, from previous relationships.
Jamie is also dad to Ella, six, from his relationship with Emma Daggett
On Sunday, Coleen broke her silence and tweeted for the first time since her war of words with Rebekah erupted after she accused her of selling stories about her.
Same idea: On Monday, Coleen posted a snap of little Cass in a local park and told her fans the pair had enjoyed a 'lovely morning in the fresh air' as both ladies focused on family
Cancelled: The WAG, 33, told her Twitter followers she was home in the UK with her youngest son Cass, 20 months, recovering after falling 'poorly with an injection'
Speaking out: Coleen's post (pictured in Barbados in March) saw her break her silence for the first time amid her ongoing war of words with fellow WAG Rebekah
Uploading a shot of her youngest child, Coleen the wife of footballer Wayne Rooney, 33, explained she has had to remain in the UK.
'Lovely morning in the fresh air with Cass. We had planned to be with the rest of our family in Barbados for half term break.
'Unfortunately I became poorly with an infection before we were due to leave. I am not able to join them for the time being, even though I am feeling better [sic]'
The apple of her eye: Rebekah's daughter looks just like her and no doubt she was proud to share lots of lovely pictures of her
A trip down memory lane: Vardy also shared this beautiful picture of Sofia resting on her tummy in a tender moment
The tweet came as Wayne was spotted touching down in Barbados on Sunday to join his three other children for their trip, before joining friends and family on the beach near their home on the Caribbean island.
The football star arrived a few days after his sons - Kai, nine, Klay, six, and Kit, three - who jetted over with their grandparents Colette and Anthony McLoughlin, Coleen's parents.
While her family soaked up the sun in the Caribbean, Coleen and her youngest son Cass, 20 months, enjoyed a 'lovely morning in the fresh air' in a local park.
R&R: Coleen's footballer husband, Wayne Rooney, 33, was seen hitting the beach in Barbados with a friend on Sunday as his wife recovered from illness at home in the UK
Fun in the sun: As Coleen remains in the UK, her brood are currently on their holiday (pictured: Coleen's father Tony and sons Klay, six, and Kit, three)
Meanwhile, Coleen's dramatic revelation enthralled Britain and sparked an angry denial from pregnant Rebekah, following claims that she had been selling stories.
She said 'I don't need the money’ and pointed out other people have had access to her Instagram account.
Rebekah recently gave an interview with The Daily Mail, in which she insisted arguing with Coleen is akin to rowing 'with a pigeon.'
Rebekah was pictured returning to the UK in floods of tears after the scandal broke while she herself was on holiday with her football star football Jamie.
Low-key: Coleen was last seen grabbing coffee in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, on October 14
Arrival: Wayne touched down in Barbados on Sunday without Coleen, jetting out to the island to spend half-term week with his sons
She was supported by Jamie as she returned to London's Heathrow Airport from a family trip to Dubai on Saturday.
In the emotional pictures, Rebekah is seen struggling to hide her tears as she makes her way through the busy airport hand-in-hand with husband Jamie.
Fans have praised Rooney – calling her ‘Wagatha Christie’ - for the sensational way in which she revealed Vardy was the alleged culprit by concluding her post with a thriller-worthy 'It's......... Rebekah Vardy's account.'
The saga began when Coleen took to social media to reveal she had suspected someone close to her had been betraying her for years and she had conclusive proof that her friend Rebekah was the guilty party.
Vardy is a queen of self-promotion who has risen to the top rank of footballers wives from humble beginnings - the daughter of a BBC local radio DJ and a window cleaner father who has two ex husbands.
Before meeting current husband Jamie, she was working in a Sheffield nightclub and dating a Vauxhall conference football player who has previously accused her of ditching him to 'trade up' to Premier League star.
Coleen admitted that stories about her basement flooding, returning to TV and gender selection were only viewed by Rebekah and these were subsequently followed by media outlets, including MailOnline.
The Sun has since removed their story about Coleen's basement flooding after discovering she had made it up.
Earlier this month, The Sun reported that Jamie is so upset with the way things have played out between his wife and Coleen that he has 'unfollowed Wayne on Instagram' - however, Jamie has strenuously denied the claims.
Drama: The break comes as Coleen (pictured left in June 2016) has been embroiled in a so-called WAG war with Rebekah (pictured right in February 2019)
The statement: Coleen made these claims on Instagram on October 9 after discovering she had been betrayed by someone close to her and she concluded that it was Rebekah's account
Wag-atha Christie: Coleen tweeted these words back in January, highlighting how she has been trying to get to the bottom of who was leaking stories on her life for some time
A source had alleged to the publication: 'Jamie has always got on well with Wayne, but he won’t stand for having his wife hung out to dry in public like this.'
The source added that Jamie is standing by Rebekah '100 per cent' as she launches a fight to prove her innocence.
Said a friend: 'He’s totally behind Becky and furious with the Rooneys for the way they have gone about this. He and Wayne always got on well and he likes him. But he has made his feelings clear. Cutting him off on social media is a totally deliberate snub.'
Rebekah cut her family holiday to Dubai short after Coleen's dramatic accusation, which has enthralled Britain in the so-called 'war of the WAGs.'
'I don't need the money': Rebekah denied all accusations against her minutes after the post and said she had nothing to gain and had no financial motivation
Sources close to Becky say leading law firm Kingsley Napley has sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provides them with the evidence she has against Becky so that she can complete her investigation.
Meanwhile, friends of Coleen say she will not be goaded into coming forward with any further evidence as she is happy with her own investigations.
Becky has called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account.
The aim is to identify the mole who sold fake stories to The Sun from Coleen’s Instagram account.
As part of that probe, they say, they have asked Wayne’s wife to give them the proof they have that the source must have been Becky’s Instagram account.
It's been claimed Rebekah has threatened Coleen with legal action over allegations of leaking staged Instagram stories, warning her: 'Believe me or I'll see you in court.'
The feuding pair are said to be communicating through their lawyers in the wake of the bitter row which has dominated social media and newspapers this week.
A source close to heavily pregnant Vardy now claims she is fully prepared to face her fellow WAG in court if she refuses to believe her innocence.
The source told The Sun: 'She is prepared to see Coleen in court if necessary.'
Coleen wrote on October 9: 'For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.
Grandparents: Coleen's parents Colette and Anthony McLoughlin are also on the trip
'There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family - all without my permission or knowledge.
'After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account. '
She continued: '(Those on my private account must have been wondering why I haven't had stories on there for a while).
'Over the past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the Sun newspaper.
'And you know what, they did! The story about gender selection in Mexico, the story about returning to TV and then the latest story about the basement flood in my new house.
'It's been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it's come from.
'I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them.
'It's......... Rebekah Vardy's account.'
She also wrote: 'This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it......'
Rebekah hit back minutes later on social media and denied the accusations.
She wrote: 'Can’t believe I’m even having to write this. I’m pregnant & on holiday & am at a loss to why she would do this.
'I’m now having to take legal advice as I can’t deal with this stress myself when I’m this pregnant.'
She also shared: 'As I have just said to you on the phone, I wish you had called me if you thought this.
'I never speak to anyone about you as various journalists who have asked me to over the years can vouch for.
'If you thought this was happening you can could have told me & I could have changed my passwords to see if it stopped.'
She continued: 'Over the years various people have had access to my insta & just this week I found I was following people I didn't know and have never followed myself.
'I'm not being funny but I don't need the money, what would I gain from selling stories on you?
'I liked you a lot Coleen & I'm so upset that you have chosen to do this especially when I'm heavily pregnant.
'I'm disgusted that I'm even having to deny this. You should have called me the first time this happened [broken heart emoji].'
Soak up the sun: They were spotted on their favourite Sandy Lane Hotel's beach, in St. James Parish, Barbados, late Sunday
