INJURED Strictly Come Dancing star Will Bayley has revealed that he is still in the dark about whether he will be able to return to the show this weekend.
The Paralympian, 31, who sustained a knee injury during rehearsals and had to miss Saturday's show, took to instagram yesterday to give an update on his condition.
Thanking fans for their support, he wrote: "wowwwwww I’m so lucky. I feel so loved by you guys. Thanks for the messages made me feel so much better ❤️ hope I’m back next week! Never give up! 🤛"
The update from Will - who also posted a video on Instagram on Saturday next to reveal he was "gutted" to have to miss the show - gained an outpouring of support from his fellow Strictly stars.
Michelle Visage commented: "YOU GOT THIS CHAMP! WE MISS YOU!"
Emma Weymouth said: "love you!!!!"
And pro dancer Amy Dowden wrote: "Missed you will ❤️ xxx"
Table tennis champ Will, 31, and his pro-partner Janette Manrara were due to dance a jive at the weekend, but the table tennis player suffered a devastating fall and believed he'd broken his leg.
Host Claudia Winklemen told viewers as Saturday night's show opened: "Now you may have noticed that Will and Janette are missing from tonight's line up.
"Will suffered a knee injury in training and although he was desperate to take part tonight, after a full medical check he's been told he absolutely cannot perform and must rest."
Later, Will appeared via a video link and revealed his injuries to viewers.
In video footage from his fall, a medical team surrounded Will as he lay in agony on the floor and terrified Janette was by his side.
He said: I jumped off a table and as I landed, I landed with a straight leg. I thought I had broken my leg because I had never felt anything like it before. Luckily, it's not as severe as what I thought when I first did it.
To hear the words I 'can't dance', was absolutely gutting to me.
"But I need to come back even stronger next week."
As Will and Janette were unable to dance tonight they were automatically put through to next week's show.
And Will wasn't the only injured dancer on Saturday. Pro dancer Neil Jones was also forced to miss the show after hurting himself on Saturday.
Fellow pro Kevin Clifton has to step in to partner Alex Scott, and had just 45 minutes to learn their Couples Choice routine.
Luckily, Alex's Ghostbusters routine went down a storm and she was the first celebrity to be put through to next week's show.
However she revealed that Neil might not be back with her, saying: "So partner get well, hopefully, we don't know about next week yet but thank you for the way he's just making me learn."
Last night's results show saw a huge upset as Catherine Tyldesley was voted out over Mike Bushell.
The former Coronation Street actress was in the dance-off with the BBC Breakfast presenter and while Motsi Mabuse and Bruno Tonioli voted to save her, Craig Revel-Horwood and Shirley Ballas opted to keep Mike.
And because head judge Shirley has the casting vote, it was Catherine who was sent packing.
